Inspired by traditional flower shows and country fairs, Katie and Jessie presented each flower as an individual specimen. Every stem was accompanied by information identifying its botanical and common name, grower and harvest date. By isolating and documenting each flower, the work encouraged visitors to look more closely at the materials themselves and the people responsible for growing them.
